Description:Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist HeritageWest Credit Union deliver on it's mission: Guiding our members to reach their financial goals and dreams. To achieve this mission this position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members. In addition, this position will investigate cases of fraud involving forged/counterfeit checks, counterfeit money, charge card fraud, and suspicious transactions. Performs a variety of routine accounting clerical duties according to existing procedures.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent. One year financial institution experience. Experience in working with fraud or retail loss prevention.
Must be able to prioritize work flow with the ability to multi-task. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions in an effort to uncover potential fraud/loss situations. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be comfortable in representing the credit union in legal matters. Knowledge of simple accounting procedures and credit union services. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
